“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

Life is so short… Sometimes I think, when I’m waiting on something, it seems like forever. As you probably know, I’ve been ready and willing to return to Spain for the past few weeks; however, it hasn’t felt like waiting. These past two months have been a blessing and an encouragement. The Lord has been gracious to give me a spirit of contentment and trust. I’m fully content, because I fully trust that His ways are higher and better than mine (Is. 58:11). I’ve spent time with my family and friends, had refreshing time to read and pray, take in some wonderful teaching, and now, it seems as though my time here is growing shorter.

Two weeks… I am praying BIG and hoping to leave for Spain, within the next fourteen days. Support is being provided–Praise Him!–and the home stretch is in sight. However, I need your help! Would you consider if the Lord has been leading you to partner in His ministry in Spain? If you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible. 100% of support must be provided in order to depart. Thank you for your prayers and sacrifices.

Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account…I am amply supplied, having received what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:17-19

He is faithful… Support is being provided*, current prices for plane tickets are low, the language school is ready for me to begin, my parents are dying for me to give them back their empty nest (j/k!), and to make sure my residency is secure, it doesn’t hurt to be back in Spain within 90 days from when I left. All of these reasons (some more legitimate than others) contribute to why I’m praying and planning to leave within the next two weeks.

Praises & Petitions:

  • Praise Him for the Spirit of contentment He’s provided. Even though I think about the youth, my leaders, and the church in Spain on a daily basis, there really is no anxiety. Just trust!
  • Please pray for the final amount of one-time and monthly support to be pledged. Around $1,000.00 is lacking from outgoing cost and only $500.00 for monthly support!
  • Praise Him for language help that I’ve received in my time here. I’ve been able to keep using my Spanish and gained a better understanding of grammar from precious friends! Expanding my language skills opens more doors for ministry.

*An amazing story…I have kept in touch with the youth from the church in Úbeda during my time here. I was talking with L recently, and she asked me when I would be returning. I told her I wasn’t sure, but that the Lord was faithful to send me at the perfect time on my first stint, and so He will be faithful again! She listened and then told me that she had spoken with the other youth, and that they were taking up an offering of their own money to send to me. It was impossible not to cry and be moved by their generosity. All I can think of, is the look on the people’s faces in the CAM accounting office when they receive an envelope from Spain with a little note and a handful of euros inside.
